Brian Dennis, Founder & CEO

Brian Dennis is the Founder and CEO of Dennis & Co. Auto Group, one of the largest auto dealership networks in the Metropolitan New York Region.

Originally from Michigan, Brian began his automotive career in dealership sales. He was quickly promoted to finance manager and soon after provided finance consulting to dealerships. He founded his first business in 1999, a national sub-prime consulting company, Advantage Finance Solutions. He founded Dennis & Co. Auto Group in 2006 when he purchased Riverdale Chrysler Jeep in the Bronx, an underperforming single-point store.

He has since transformed the company into a business representing 17 automotive brands across 15 locations, a reinsurance company, real estate holdings, and a dealer-to-consumer retail startup, generating $760M+ in annual revenue and 15,000 units sold. Brian provides executive oversight on all business activities, leads the management teams, and ultimately oversees 800+ employees.

For his customers, this means a shift from high-pressure sales to seamless interactions that can begin online and conclude in person. As an 18-year active member, Brian currently serves as the Chairman of the New York State Automobile Dealers Association, and formerly as Chairman of NYSADA's Legislative Committee. Working with U.S. senators, congressmen, attorney general, and the New York State governor, he actively advocates for auto dealers state-wide. He is also a member of the NADA PAC President's Club.

Brian also participates in one of the highest-performing NADA Dealer 20 Groups, CD-03, Super Group 01, and serves on the FCA Northeast Business Center Dealer Council and the Kia Dealer Council, where he represents all FCA and Kia dealers to manufacturers.

With his nearly 800 employees, Brian has established incredible relationships and retention through a laser-like focus on personal growth and development. In addition to offering college tuition to all employees and supporting industry-specific education, he provides organizational career pathways for each role with a comprehensive reward and recognition program. Nearly all of the group's leaders began with the company in an entry-level capacity, earning increased responsibilities and finding great success in their current management and partner roles.

Brian's commitment to people extends far beyond his network of stores into the surrounding community. Committed to diversity, rehabilitation, and empowerment, he has developed strong relationships with local groups, organizations, and charities, paying special attention to the community's youth.

Through the New York City Justice Corps prisoner reentry internship program, Brian offers young adults with criminal records a supportive environment focused on building skills and promoting behavioral changes to keep them out of the justice system. "I'm honored to provide justice-involved young adults with a sense of dignity and possibility for their future and shift perceptions of them to worthy and valued members of our community," says Brian about the program.

For each vehicle sold, Dennis & Co donates to The STEM Alliance, a non-profit organization that enhances STEM education for all. "As vehicle sales and service leaders, we know the need for trained technicians and industry specialists. We share The STEM Alliance's vision that the path to inspiring the next generation of STEM-trained workers starts with equal access to high-quality programs for all ages," shares Brian.

As the News 12 Bronx Scholar-Athlete Program's exclusive sponsor, Brian helped recognize the outstanding abilities shown by local high school seniors in athletics, scholarship, leadership, and service to others.

The group is also proud to support the Bronx Youth Empowerment Program, which challenges Bronx youth to be positive and productive.

Similarly, with support from Brian and Dennis & Co, the Harlem Junior Tennis & Education Program brings tennis to youth from high-risk, low-income inner-city neighborhoods and offers self-development opportunities, emphasizing education and a positive code of behavior.

In addition to the youth programs, Brian's charitable acts extend to scholarship fundraising efforts, medical foundations, clothing and toy drives, local festivals, youth sports, chambers of commerce, and more.

Brian studied Business and Finance at Walsh College and is a 2006 graduate of the NADA Dealer Academy. He grew up in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, and currently resides in Mamaroneck, NY with his wife, Tina, and their three children. Brian likes to travel, fish, run, participate in Spartan Tough Mudders, and play golf and hockey.

Bob Erickson, VP of Dealer Performance

Bob Erickson is Vice President of Dealer Performance for Dennis & Co. Auto Group. In this capacity, he leads a group of sales departments that achieves continuous business growth. Bob's responsibilities include providing direction and oversight on vehicle inventory, monitoring customer service, overseeing advertising effectiveness and budget allocation, and forecasting sales volume, revenue, and gross profit. He is also responsible for directing employee training and recruiting.

Prior to his current role, Bob served as General Manager for Dennis & Co.'s largest franchise, Eastchester Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram. During the time Bob was General Manager, Eastchester won multiple honors from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) for exceeding sales objectives and earned the prestigious Customer First Award for Excellence in 2018, one of only two dealers in New York City to earn such recognition.

Bob has more than 19 years of diverse experience serving clients in the automotive industry. He joined Dennis & Co. in 2013 and worked his way up the ranks, holding positions as General Sales Manager and Finance Manager.

Having grown up in a family who owned an automotive company, Bob began his career as a salesperson at their independent automotive dealership. Subsequently, he worked for a Ford dealer as a sales manager and business development director, where his sales department experienced accelerated growth in both volume and revenue.

After earning an undergraduate degree in Business Management from Iona College, he expanded his automotive knowledge and expertise by attending the National Automobile Dealers Association's dealer academy.

Bob resides in Westchester County, New York, where he and his wife, Diana, are raising their two children.

Fred Eldik, General Manager (Arabic-French*)

Fred Eldik is the General Manager of Volkswagen of Nanuet. In his prior role as Director of the Business Development Center (BDC) at Dennis & Co. he monitored representatives' activities, responds to management's requests, and advances BDC's goals via working cross-functionally with Marketing, IT, and Dealer Support.

Prior to his current position, Fred was General Sales Manager at Milea Buick GMC. He managed all functions and personnel within Sales, assisted in planning for sales promotions and advertising, and implemented cost-reduction initiatives that increased profits by 35%. Fred's team consistently exceeded sales goals and achieved business deliverables.

Fred has held a variety of additional roles, including General Manager, Service Manager, and Finance Manager. Over the course of his 25-year career, he has cultivated skills in business, finance, and customer service, which he largely credits for the career success he has attained to date.

Fred is interpersonally savvy, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and exhibits leadership features that are rooted in his upbringing. The values and dedication he displays at home are the same values that he leverages at work when interacting with clients and employees.

A few highlights from his career include developing human resource models as well as developing and implementing innovative business strategies. He has accelerated business growth for multiple companies, created centralized call centers, and boosted e-commerce revenues. His favorite work activities involve teaching and helping others.

Originally from Beirut, Lebanon, Fred speaks French and Arabic. He lives in New Jersey with his children, and he enjoys water-related activities, landscaping, cooking, and traveling.

Tausif Raza, General Sales Manager (Urdu-Pashto-Punjabi*)

The early stages of my career have been met with obstacles, which with perseverance and determination, I was able to overcome. I have been standing for 10 years in the automotive industry. It does not occur to one that being a non-English speaker, at first, and buying a fresh suit along with determination, for an interview, can put me in the position I currently hold. In the first two months of my 10 year career, I already achieved being the top sales consultant; from there, I have only been moving upwards towards greater things. As an individual, I am self-driven and motivated by a code of ethics that I was raised by; so long I sustain these two elements, everything else comes after.

Colin Perell, Customer Relations

Colin Perell is Customer Relations Manager at Volkswagen of Nanuet. His role at the dealership is in ensuring a great experience for each and every customer.

A Rockland native, Colin comes into the Volkswagen family from more than a decade of experience in the hospitality world. He managed, and was in charge of event planning, at multiple restaurants and pubs throughout Rockland, Westchester & Brooklyn. Colin started at the bottom and proved himself humbly through the ranks with hard work, dedication and loyalty.

Josh Cruz, Finance Manager (Spanish*)

Hi, my name is Josh Cruz, and I'm lucky enough to be one of the business managers here at VW of Nanuet. I've been in the car business for eight years. I started my career at DCH Honda of Nanuet as a sales consultant, moving my way up to finance at the same dealership. I then took my talents to Wide World BMW, gaining additional experience. 

Now, I'm here at VW of Nanuet with the best sales team and dealership staff of them all. We are dedicated to ensuring our customers have the best overall experience with their new vehicle purchase.

Axel Alvarez, Parts Manager

The 25 years involvement in the automotive industry encapsulates different opportunities and experiences that led to the current position I hold today as the Parts Manager. My journey has been influenced by both my academic and circumstantial paths. While I started out as a driver and worked the counter at a former dealership during the day, I was also pursuing my BA in Social Sciences and MBA in Business Administration throughout the evening. That, mixed with the family-driven passion towards the automotive industry, fuels the drive I have today to still be standing in this industry holding the current position. Outside of work, I am a proud father of two boys and two girls and a recent grandfather of one grandson.
