This is a recall for the POD. I dropped the Atlas off on Sunday night for a Monday appointment. The repair wasn't completed until 4:30 on Monday and I was unable to leave work that late in the day to pick up the vehicle. I asked how late I could pick it up and was told 6PM which would not allow enough time to travel from work. The next day (Tuesday) I called at 9AM and spoke to the Service Writer and asked if at any point in the day someone could drop the car off at my residence as I only live 5 minutes from the dealer and I was working. He said he was short handed and didn't 2 drivers for the drop off. He offered to pick me up at my job but that would mean I would have two vehicles at work, which I explained. He said he would see what he could do and get back to me. Well by 2:15PM I never heard back from him and had to take unpaid time off from my job to go get this recall repair. Then I had to arrange transportation to retrieve the original vehicle. All in all, I feel a RECALL due to an OEM issues should receive a higher standard of customer service from the dealership. At a minimum a pick up & drop off service. As you know, one negative experience now taints the quality of my overall opinion of the dealership and will be relayed in all future conversations a about VW of Nanuet.
